With all the G35->GTR rumors that have been floating around I was worried that they'd just take a G35 and give it an options package and call it a Skyline. Now onto my critique.
The front bumper isn't bad. They managed to capture the essence of the former skyline front ends (large open front grill) while integrating the new trend in headlight design. From the photos it seems as if the large carbon fiber areas below the headlights are a bit pointless. Perhaps they could have mounted a foglight between the headlight and duct. The recessed carbon fiber area in the front grill give the car the look of another car beneath the skin. Now the little holes on the hood I could do without, but maybe they're functional (then it will be forgiven). I like the vent behind the front wheels is a nice touch...a widebody-esq look if you will. I do like the profile of the car. I also like the roofline.....of course I've never sat in it.....but it looks good. The rear end is nice. I mean it is what I expected the next Skyline to look like...however, it also looks like a Ferrari, Corvette....insert sports car name here. All in all it looks good to me. I mean it deffinitely will stand out in the US consumers mind more than the R34's lines would have. I think the real thing most people don't like is the lack of a front mount intercooler to make up for their lack of personal physique.
